This year, we attended Ecomondo, the international environmental technology exhibition in Rimini, for the first time as part of the Hungarian Water Partnership (HWP) delegation.
We had the opportunity to participate both as visitors and as speakers, presenting our UN-recognised drinking water and wastewater treatment technologies and the results achieved through their application to an international audience.

Mr Balázs Varga, Head of Water Technologies Business Unit of Pureco, and the chairs of the session: Ms Evina Katsou, Imperial College London, and Mr Francesco Fatone, Universitá Politecnica delle Marche
Ecomondo is an important meeting point for environmental innovation and international professional dialogue, with a strong focus on water management, the green economy and circular solutions. Bringing together 1,800 exhibitors, the international event attracted nearly 100,000 visitors from around the world. As a leading platform for the green, blue and circular economies, it provided an excellent opportunity to showcase Hungarian water industry solutions and build international connections.
Hungarian expertise, international cooperation
Representing HWP, we shared our technologies alongside our practical experience. Discussions on international cooperation in the water sector focused on how expertise can be translated into practical, scalable solutions tailored to local needs.
During the event, we attended several professional meetings and held bilateral discussions with numerous exhibitors. Our conversations explored international water management projects, innovative technologies and opportunities for future cooperation. These exchanges helped us establish new professional connections and gain valuable market insights.
Exploring innovations in stormwater management
The exhibition also allowed us to explore the latest solutions available in stormwater management. We paid particular attention to innovations that can help develop climate-resilient water infrastructure and support sustainable stormwater management.
We returned from our first Ecomondo with new connections, fresh professional insights and further opportunities for cooperation. We thank HWP and the members of the Hungarian delegation for their partnership and for making this a shared experience!
