Planet Budapest 2023 is a prominent international event, which presents the latest solutions with an innovative approach, showcasing the latest solutions in an easily understandable manner that will take place at Hungexpo in the last week of September 2023. The remarkable event addresses a wide range of society and economy and raises awareness of the importance of sustainability and the impacts of climate change.
Planet Budapest 2023 is built around three thematic events of which the Sustainability Expo is standing out.
During the Sustainability and Green Innovation Expo companies with concrete solutions at the forefront of sustainability efforts, can showcase their solutions to business partners and the public between 27 September and 1 October 2023.
Pureco will join the Planet Expo, we look forward to welcoming you in Hall A, booth 2a. At the Expo, we are focusing on our water-related solutions supporting the green transition, with a number of novelties and professional programmes for our visitors. Participation is free of charge.
In the framework of the exhibition, there will be a conference featuring presentations and round table discussions by leading experts in the field of sustainability. In contrast, presentations at the weekend will display tangible solutions. The annual conference of the Hungarian Water Association (HWA) is prominent among the presentations. With the title of Municipal and Agricultural Water Management in the Context of Climate Change - Interactions and Interdependence the event will be held on the 28 September 2023 in Hall A.
In line with the focus of Planet, the HWA conference will explore how water and food security can be maintained simultaneously, how water resources and their demands are changing in response to climate change and human impacts, what can be done to achieve water security, food security and a circular economy, how innovative partnerships can be realised in municipal and agriculture-water management practices, and what integrated river basin management means in the light of climate change.
The aim of the conference is to highlight the interconnectedness of water, the interactions between the two sectors, the essential water awareness, and the potential to shift the scientific, industrial and business responsibility towards sustainability at the micro and macro levels. Also, during Planet, immediately after the HWA conference, the Hungarian Water Partnership (HWP) will organise a Water Innovation Cooperation and Resource Development Forum, which aims to build and strengthen professional dialogue and networking between HWP member companies, Hungarian educational institutions and research institutes related to the water industry, and the student and young water professionals. This unique initiative provides an excellent opportunity for the scientific-research-industry sector and students to create a common platform to improve the labour supply in the field and raise the prestige of the water-related professions.
In addition to the exhibition, there will be an interactive public programme on sustainability (Your Planet) and a sustainability experience for young people (Heroes of the Future).
