Pools or drainage systems required to drain stormwater from large catchment areas are often difficult to design due to their space requirements, for which the ENREGIS / Biocalith MR system offers a perfect solution. The high permeability of the material ensures optimal water flow.  The internal surface of the system ensures optimal binding, decomposition and exchange of chemicals. The organic treatment takes place in an open-surface infiltration trench. The substrate is filled into the infiltration trench to a thickness of approx. 20 cm without compaction. Constant conditions provide the right, ideal environment for the process and “microbial helpers”. Reduction is usually a regenerative degradation process. The substrate can continuously decompose harmful organic pollutants. Under the required conditions of use the replacement of ENREGIS / Biocalith MR is not required. The material is an excellent and safe alternative when fed into underground drainage systems.
