
For the eighth time, the Hungarian Marketing Association has announced the Marketing Diamond Awards for smaller agencies and marketing activities with smaller budgets. The basic objective of the initiative is to contribute to the spread of sophisticated, professionally sound practices and to help smaller market players to carry out more conscious marketing activities and recognise and promote these effective marketing solutions. This year we nominated our anniversary brand-building souvenir.
Our company was founded in 2006, and we celebrated our 10th anniversary with a large-scale program, and for our fifteenth birthday, we prepared a long-lasting and memorable gift, which was physically realized a year later, in 2022, due to the pandemic. The aim of the gift was to strengthen internal cohesion among colleagues working in the company, as well as to build the brand and celebrate the anniversary in a worthy way. What is this souvenir that has even earned the marketing profession recognition?
The Pureco birthday gift is nothing more than a personalised, unique franchise card, tailored to your company. The design and printing technique of the franchise card is brilliantly executed, and its distinctive feature is that it presents Pureco's activities through the design of the cards:
- Wastewater treatment - Sewage treatment - Drinking water treatment - Air purification
For each product and technology, a unique motif and figure on the card indicates our wide range of environmental solutions. The illustration of our activities on the card is fully in line with the colours and images used in other communication media (brochure, website, etc.) for the area concerned. The basic suit of the cards is Pureco green, and all the suits of the French cards (spades, hearts, clubs, diamonds) are inspired by this suit.
Circle: focusing on our drinking water treatment technologies. At the centre of the circle is an icon of one of our distinctive drinking water treatment solutions. The circle motif on the ace and the numbered tiles features small icons of the water tap design element used by our company to symbolise drinking water treatment. Spade: focuses on our stormwater treatment products. The ace of spades focuses on a schematic representation of our best-selling oil trap. The ace of spades motif and the numbered cards feature tiny icons of the cloud design element used by our company to symbolise stormwater treatment. Diamonds: showing our wastewater treatment technology. At the heart of the ace of diamonds is a schematic representation of one of the main technical elements of our wastewater treatment technology. The ace of diamonds and the numbered tiles feature small icons of the twisted pipe design element used by our company to symbolise wastewater treatment. Clubs: focuses on air purification. The ace of clubs focuses on the schematic representation of our biofilter product for air purification. The ace of clubs motif and the numbered cards feature tiny icons of the three wavy line design elements we use to symbolise air purification.
What makes the court cards even more unique is that for each of the four colours, the Jack, Queen and King cards feature key people from our company, and we have chosen a colleague who works in the field for the technology represented by the colour. We have also made sure that we have included elements of their day-to-day work and the area they work in, to represent the colleagues on the figure cards. For example, the Jack of Spades shows the technical equipment needed to install one of our oil-catching devices, the Jack of Diamonds shows the clean water from the contaminated water associated with waste water treatment, and the Jack of Clubs illustrates the scaling that is essential for air purification solutions. The kings are, of course, our senior colleagues in the field, and the queens are our female senior colleagues supporting the leaders. And the jolly joker is one of our oldest, most entertaining colleagues.
The graphic preparation of the individual cards was very extensive, with 120 hours of design time. The quality of the design also required quality workmanship, and although we contacted several printers, it took a lot of searching to find one that could print to the standard we expected. The card box was also unique and we had it specially printed using letterpress and gold embossing.
We printed 500 of the cards and presented them to our colleagues at our 2022 graduation ceremony. The cards were also distributed to our civil engineering design and construction partners, who are the target group of our activities, for further promotional purposes.
