Sustainable water solutions
Pureco Africa, in collaboration with the Hungarian Embassy in Ghana, hosted a unique industry workshop.

Sustainable water solutions

Water is more than a resource; it is a lifetime asset and a right to the people of Ghana. As such, there is a need to conserve it with the right innovations and increase awareness.

To address these growing challenges in stormwater and wastewater management, Pureco Africa, in collaboration with the Hungarian Embassy in Ghana, hosted its maiden industry workshop. The event, held at the Hungarian Embassy, brought together industry stakeholders, experts, and policymakers to discuss sustainable solutions for water and wastewater management, with a focus on innovation and technology.

The event commenced with a keynote speech by H.E. Tamás Fehér, Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana. In his speech, he highlighted that “Water is the foundation of life, development, and prosperity. It is no coincidence that nations with well-managed water resources thrive in economic growth, public health, and environmental sustainability. Ghana, a country experiencing rapid urbanization and industrialization, faces increasing challenges in stormwater and wastewater management—challenges that demand innovative and sustainable solutions. This is where Pureco Africa’s contribution becomes so important.”

Presentations were followed by a panel discussion featuring Mr. Bálint Horváth, CEO of Pureco Group, Mr Delali Aklika (Special Projects Lead for Pureco Africa), Mr. István Sulyok (Project Manager for Pureco projects in Africa) and Ing. Pascal Annor (Head of Engineering at Sewerage Systems Ghana Limited).
