Superenduro is a spectacular form of motorcycle racing. The sport is a hybrid motorcycle competition, a mix of supercross and enduro racing held indoors over obstacles resembling a trials track. GP rounds are typically one-day events, with three categories of riders battling it out in short, short races, usually in sports halls.
The Budapest round of this year's Superenduro was held on 4 February at the Papp László Sport Arena with a full house. The event proved to be a success in every respect, but it required hard work on several fronts by the agencies and professionals involved in its organisation.
The GP was also a very unique opportunity for Pureco, as the GRP pipes we use originally for utility constructions, now were used as a jumping barrier rather than for drainage.
Two GRP pipes supplied for the competition were made with a rounding cylinder process, the most modern technology in the production of GRP pipelines.
The fibreglass reinforcement of the pipeline makes the product extremely strong, whether it is subjected to high pressure, external or longitudinal loads.
This competition was an extremely good example of this, because in addition to the typical wooden and stone obstacles, the GRP pipes installed as a jumping element at the Budapest site. And the pipes had to withstand the high load capacity, and withstand sudden and short-lasting loads.
The products passed with flying colours, the competition itself was a great success, and the fantastic atmosphere is reflected in the summary short film: LINK
