Not long after the United Nations recognised our technology and listed Septopure® as an SDG acceleration solution, it received significant attention from the International Water Association (IWA).
This attention is honourable as IWA is the biggest network of water professionals striving for a world where water is wisely, sustainably, and equitably managed. The organisation gathers exceptional professionals from more than 140 countries and brings together scientists, researchers, technology companies, water and wastewater utilities, and wider stakeholders involved in water management. Furthermore, IWA’s new initiative targets reshaping urban sanitation over the coming years.
Our near-to-consumer wastewater treatment technology, a City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation action, tailored for communities without sewerage networks, completely matches the initiative of IWA.
This perfect timing brought the possibility to present Septopure® as a bankable, affordable and sustainable faecal sludge treatment technology.
This special attention brought the possibility of making a short movie about our faecal sludge treatment technology. Besides introducing the technology, the film gives a detailed review of the main sanitation issues of the World and presents how Septopure® provides a rapid solution in communities without sewerage systems, significantly reducing water pollution and waterborne diseases.

It is a great honour that we can take part in the worldwide promotion through IWA’s communication channels. We celebrated the official film debut by watching it in the company of all Pureco colleagues at the annual meeting.
