Oil separators under the quay of Budapest

Oil separators under the quay of Budapest

Up till now the section between the Margaret Bridge and the Parliament had no stormwater drainage. This means that stormwater washed various pollutants off the pavement that flowed straight into the river. With the installation of our Pureco ENVIA TNC 150-5-A, a two-tank, reinforced concrete unit with sediment trap and oil filter the surface water will be treated before it enters the Danube. The project is currently under construction and the installation of the 150 l/s capacity Pureco ENVIA TNC tanks with 100 times sludge capacity and D400 kN load capacity has already been completed. Precipitation will be led through gully pot from the surface into a 600 m long channel under the road where contaminated stormwater will be treated by passing through the Pureco ENVIA TNC oil separator. The stormwater will be discharged into the river only after treatment. The ENVIA TNC family of reinforced concrete tank oil separators and sludge traps operates on the principle of physical phase separation using a coalescing filter. It is a ready-to-use, complex technology, ideal for the pre-treatment of stormwater run-off from traffic roads and parking lots. No additional energy or chemicals are required for operation. The maintenance is simple, no auxiliary equipment is needed for service check-ups. We are very proud to have contributed to a cleaner Danube with our oil trap product!
